JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI
February 23, 2016
Representative Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement after filing for election to the U.S. Congress to represent Missouri’s Second Congressional District.
“The 2nd District is, and always will be, my home. I grew up here; I went to school, raised my children and go to church here. This community has always given me extraordinary opportunities to serve and I will continue to work every day to earn your trust and give back to the community that I am so blessed to call home.
“During my time in Congress, we have successfully secured multi-year funding for important national security jobs in our community, stopped the President’s executive amnesty and other unconstitutional overreach and defended our children against dangerous sex traffickers online. And yet, there is still so much work to be done.
“I am running for Congress to serve the people of this district, state and country. I am running for Congress to make our community and our nation more secure. I am running for Congress to fight for a brighter future for our children and grandchildren. And I look forward to continuing to fight for our conservative Missouri values in Washington.”
